Get it off me please

Megat petrified at the feel of the walking jacket...

No..I was not afraid....

Do I look afraid to you?

I thought it was time to get Megat in harness training. Once I brought Bujang home, I got Megat into the purple walking jacket. It was the smallest that we have. It actually belonged to Ms Akira but she has not shown an iota of interest in walking outside.

He was quite surprised at first and then when he realised he was cabinned, he stared to roll about. He kept stopping every few steps that he took. I told grandma we would put him in the jacket for 5 minutes then and then another 5 minutes in the evening. I think I should be able to train him as every other kitty in the house has been trained already. Once he is used to it, he can decide for himself if he likes to go walking outside with me or maybe just along the corrdor, like Toro. He could also just decide that he is not interested in walking outside at all like Ms Akira.

What is happening this morning?

Come out..come out..chimed the little bronze butterflies

Ms Akira climbing up the cat tree to see what the noise was about...

Grandma being tagged by the NEA ...oops!

Ms Akira was curious to see what the little tinkling noises was all about this morning. So I opened the window to let her see Sunday morning :) It was just the chimes playing in the wind. From the window we could see the NEA mosquitoe larvae catcher. The NEA had placed these black containers under everyone's potted plants. I guess someone in our community must have contracted dengue. :(

Get us some food or else...

Toro giving me the evil eye...

Toro came into the computer room to tell me in no uncertain terms that it was time for his night snack and he wanted it immediately.

That's it!! If you don't move me with my laser eyes will eat up this piece of wood....

Toro tried to convince me that he was much too hungry to wait anymore. He tried biting the little table to show me he was serious about food!

Ok. Maybe I can wait for a bit.

I am trying to ignore you san.

Bujang is used to waiting. He thought he might as well take a nap in the meantime.

The boys came to the room to remind me that eventhough I was on the computer, I have a responsibility to feed them :) Bujang came into the room and immediately took a nap on his favourite cushion. Toro tried the more aggressive mode of attack. Grandma came into the room to tell me that her fried fish was in several small pieces. It was Megat on the offensive again! No wonder he was sitting quietly in the kitchen! I guess it would take some time for him to stop this behaviour.

How I spent Easter - by Bujang Correspondent

cat_aunty sent san a pikshur of Easter. Thanks cat_aunty. :) I thought then I should think about what we or I did on Easter. A refleksion is always good.

I played with the mousie that cat_aunty sent to us fur Christmas. I am good mouser cos by the time I finished with it- it was d_e_a_d. I can't say it aloud. But I can sure spell it out okay.

Then it was time to rest my spirit. The other kitties made a lot of noise in san's room and so I sat on grandma's bed. It was quiet and peaceful. Grandma had fishes on her bed spread but I can't eat any. I only eat from those shiny can things. Those are delicious. Grandma's fishes don't taste good though.

Then I thought I would think of Easter when Jesus died to save the world. I think a lot of people just eat chocolate bunnies. I am sure bunnies taste good but chocolate is bad for cats. It gave me quite a headache to think so seriously and so I had a nap.

I think Jesus and I would make great friends cos we both have a peaceful spirit and think that peace should be the way. :)

There's a fly and we want it

Its a fly and we want it...

Why can't we get it?

The boys sat on the table waiting for the fly to fall from the lights. They stared amd meowed and stared again. Finally the fly left buzzing through the window. The boys seems surprised that it disappeared :))

What fools these mortals be?

and they say cats have curious habits...tsk!

The old aunty told me some surprising news this evening as I was feeding Fatboy. It seemed that on Sunday she saw 2 policemen trying to catch Fatboy at about 8.10 pm. So she yelled at them and demanded to know why they were trying to steal her cat. She said they both denied trying to do this and she told them not to lie as she saw them trying to corner Fatboy. She said she tried to look at their tags but she was not successful. I asked her if she recognised them but she said she did not. However she told me one of them looked familiar- as though she had seen him before with his very young daughter talking to Fatboy.

I told her he may be trying to corner Fatboy so he could take her home. She admitted that she had once told him that if he wanted to take Fatboy home, he should not let him roam wildly and he has to feed Fatboy as well as take him to the vet. I told her that the advice she gave was sound. We both decided we should be more vigilant and look out for the couple - father and daughter. It seemed that the daughter likes Fatboy quite a bit according to the auntie.

It is a great mystery.

Toro the mIghty

This is the way I flex my nails..flex my nails..flex my nails...

Toro decided to do a little flexing exercise this afternoon. I guess he knew that we would be having guests and he might have to show what a strong little kitty he is. It was a good thing I had trimmed his nails so he didn't puncture the green sofa :)

Ms Akira's quiet Sunday

Ms Akira relaxing after dinner...

Licking her chops...thinking of dinner...

Contemplation...

Ms Akira is having some trouble with her diet. Eversince last sunday she is off her fussiecat and would not even touch the aristocat that she used to eat. I have since bought small tins of Snappy Tom for the Little Miss and she has eaten some pilchard in jelly. I tried to give her some biscuits for dinner but she didn't eat it as dinner is always one teaspoon of wet food. Grandma is saying that she looks thin and indeed she is thinner than usual. But when I weighed her, she weighs in at 3.9 kg so she is well within the healthy range. I am very glad for that.

Sunday is just for sleeping

Zzzzzz

Bujang was not interested in the catnip frenzy. He did take one sniff of it and walked calmly off to take an afternoon nap with grandma. I guess he is just not a catnip kitty :) when we had guests, he did make an effort to greet everyone as usual. He is agood host of course. The guests tried to engage him in the usual chitchat but he decided sleep is more important. :))

Catnip Feast

The amigos had a nice catnip feast this afternoon. They scratched and licked catnip flowers off their scratcher. I should make them each a little catnip pillow just for fun since they liked it so much. :)

Gotcha!

No way you're getting away from me...

Yup... Gotcha...

Catnip feast...

Toro decided that no other kitty will get the catnipped feathers. He jumped and swirled and bit it all to pieces. Not bad for such a rotund kitty :)
