Monday news

San came home at noon after going to school. She had gone to the doctors office as well and she got an mc for tomorrow. The doctor told her to ‘wear your mask and rest.’ So she opened up the window for us when she got home. It was cooler eventhough outside was very hot. San told us we were lucky to have our fur short as if not, life would not be so pleasant. 
 

Sunday with san

 San is srill  coughing quite a bit today, so we’ve declared it a quiet day. She told us we’re very good kitties and said she’s glad we’re so thoughtful. We took excellent care of her all day yesterday. Manju slept through the entire shift. San says he’s still a kitten, so clearly he needs just as much rest as she does

Saturday Guard Duty

San told me that I should take care of the family today as she was not feeling too well. She came home yesterday with a cold. She thinks it’s because there was too much to do all at once in the new term after the slow living of last month. Also the gangsta mynah has been acting up and behaving badly at my window. I am well up for it. Bring it on mynah !
 

Mizu Manju

I am now wearing my old tag. San said Mizu is my name although she has yet to call me that. I asked her what it meant. She said it meant water’ as when I was younger I was like water. She also said it was the name that her sister gave me after the animated series ‘Blue Samurai’. But of course I only answer to Manju. San gave me the name as she said it sounded much more comfortable and fun. So Manju is my real name but Mizu is my ‘glamour’ name as we say in Singapore. 

 

Busy not busy

 San waited for me to finish making biscuits for Sunday breakfast. I think I did well. 

Saturday Notes

We went for a haircut yesterday. San was concerned about the little matted fur under our chins. Since they were close to our throats, san sent us to the professionals. It took about 4 hours which wasn’t bad for the both of us together. We didn’t like the way we look now but san said we won’t get too hot and bothered as the hotter months will be here soon enough. 

 This morning san allowed us to sleep in. We will be sleeping more than usual as the spa session usually tires us out. 

Friday Reminders

I was not pleased when san came home from camp at dark time. That was not reasonable. She said there was a campfire so she was late back. Hmmm… This morning, I sat in front of her when she was having breakfast. I told her ‘no more late campfires san. We need you to be home asap’. She was not surprised as last night ai did not sit with her at all to show her I was upset. San said she might be home early today but I should be prepared to take a little trip myself. ‘OH NO!!! GROOMING TIME’. 

 

Wednesday with us

Today was camp day. San came home in the evening and let us watch cat videos. But we weren’t very interested in what’s going on as we know they won’t fly out of the tee-vee . It was ok for a bit but after about ten minutes all of us went for our pre-dinner nap. 
 

Monday is back again

On Monday, San came home in the late afternoon. We heard her at the door but stayed where we were, so she’d know we weren’t worried. She spoke to each of us and asked how we were, even though she could see we were home and safe. That’s her way of saying she was glad to be back, away from the outside noise

Manju ran underfoot and San almost tripped. Sky chased him into the kitchen and slapped him once. Manju gave in since San was watching. Too much drama for me — my constitution is weak.

 

 

Just Because

 Well sometimes this is the only thing to say - we’re all bffs but Sky takes care of all of us. She watches us a lot of the time but she sometimes joins in the games as well. Sky also takes care of san and makes sure she sits san down as soon  as she comes home from work. She can be bossy but we all love her to bits. 

Can we open the window?

 Today San went to school, so we didn’t get to sit by the open windows or door this morning. I missed that, because we spent so much time there in November and December 2025. San said school wasn’t too bad, but the sudden noise gave her a shock. I felt sorry when she told me, especially since she always opens the window just for me. So I sat up properly and listened for a while. Humans have a hard time sometimes. Luckily, I am an excellent support cat.

 We wish for a gentle life with many quiet moments (actually that is san’s wish…we kittens wish for naps and sleeps and a lot of toona).
